This watch is a beautiful ladies' watch for those wanting a thin band (1/4 inch) and a smaller face. The numbers are large for the size of the face and it is easily read-able. The band is a very dark leather color - it could sometimes pass for a deep brown OR black so it matches with all clothing. I have very small wrists and usually have to make extra holes in my watch bands...not this one though - there are 8 holes and I am right in the middle - with 3 holes left to go to make it bigger. Bolted Promise Harbor Wedding ebook  Bolted by Meg Benjamin is the second book in The Promise Harbor Wedding Series. It is written from the perspective of Greta the grooms wayward impulsive sister and also the Matron of Honor.
Bolted starts off in the same manner as Book #1 Jilted. Josh and Allie's wedding is interrupted by Allie's ex-boyfriend. However you are seeing everything through Greta's eyes. Greta has come back to Promise Harbor with her own secrets. She has recently gotten divorced after finding out her ex-husband was cheating on her. Rather then tell her Mother and brother she holds onto her secrets so they won't continue to see her as a walking disaster.
This story follows Greta after the disaster that wasn't a wedding to her own escape. She decides to run away to a Decision Free Zone and meets archaeologist Hank Mitchell.
I adored this story. It showed that sometimes impulsive decisions can change your life for the better and that you have to learn to trust yourself and at times rely on others to lessen your own burdens.

Invicta 14375 Diamond Accented Ion Plated Stainless  I was afraid that the watch would not fit me, but it fits great. I'm a plus size that needs at least an 8" bracelet or watch. This watch fit great with a bit of room to spare.
All you need to decrease the size is a pin. It's typical of watches, it has little pins in the band and the links and you just stick a little pin in the hole to remove the connections.
The face is a shiny pearly white with some feint grey engravings. The Roman numbers are black and stand out in sharp contrast. They DO get a bit crowded down around 7 and 8 but otherwise they are fine, and if you are used to reading them, they are quite easy to read. It has a second hand with notches, so it's a fine watch for a nurse or health professional. It's been keeping great time.
It is a large watch - but again, this makes it perfect for a larger woman.

Novel Zelda Fitzgerald ebook  I would like to say, at the beginning of this review, that, although I am a Vine Reviewer, I bought this book myself, and I am reviewing it, not because I have to but because I want to.
I fell in love with Scott Fitzgerald's writing the summer I was 14. I have continued to love his books and stories for fifty years. One story, "The Cut Glass Bowl" stopped me from ever having cut glass in my home. Now I find that some of that writing I have read and reread may not have been written by F. Scott himself, but by the woman who has been insulted and treated as a madwoman for so many years, his wife, Zelda. It's strange, but many of his short stories always seemed to have a feminine ring to them. I thought it was me, but it may have has more of a foundation than that. Theresa Anne Fowler has written an extremely readable and informative book which I think should be required reading for any Fitzgerald fan or anyone else looking for a good read..
Ms. Fowler covers the years 1918 to 1940 telling the story of the Fitzgerald marriage, even after there was no marriage. I wondered, as I read, "A Moveable Feast" years ago how Hadley Hemingway felt about Ernest, wandering around, enjoying Paris while she stayed home with their son. We learned some answers in "The Paris Wife". Now we have the answers to the same question about Zelda Fitzgerald. Each of these women was talented in her own right, but they each put those talents aside to worship at the altar of their husband's fame. In the end, each was rewarded with poor treatment by those famous men. Hemingway's attitude seemed to be that his wife could be ignored and stepped over. However, Fitzgerald's cruelty was a conscious effort to undermine Zelda whenever her obvious writing talent seemed to compete with his own writings.
After reading some of the writing, honestly, attributed to Zelda, I became interested in reading any of her works which had been published. I found a collected works in Amazon's inventory. However, alas, the professional reviews by the usual suspects described her work as mediocre and an attempt to compete with her illustrious husband. This is, in spite of the fact, that it is now recognized that Zelda contributed to some of Scott's work and, as this book reveals, had work published under his name because of his "star quality", shame, shame. The author has included an afterward or writer's note in this book, but she left one fact out. The Fitzgerald's daughter Scottie won a Pulitzer Prize for her book on Vietnam, "The Fire in the Lake". One wonders now from which side of her family the talent to write such a book came.
I have read "The Far Side of Paradise" as well as a couple of other biographies of this couple. If you have also done so, I think this book is a "must read" for you. Also, with the issue of a new "Gatsby" film and interest from Woody Allen's "Midnight in Paris", it might be time for a publisher to correct the harm which has been done to Zelda's image by releasing a new volume of collected works. Invicta 14377 Diamond Accented Two Tone Stainless  I have about 15 Invicta watches and this is right up there in my top favorites. I can read it easily and it's comfortable once you get used to it. Yes it is a bigger watch than what we women use to wear but it's very stylish and sharp looking. It tells time without any problems and take it from me I would know. I tend to have watches die on me after about 30 days due to my pulse messing them up. They usually start running backwards then just die. I have to say I think this is my new favorite Crystal Jordan book! and I think I am in love with Finn. This is an well written story, where you get invested in the characters and root for them to have their HEA.
Finn Walsh is a man determined to get the girl who he has wanted to date for over a year, but Meg Phillips is just as determined not to date a fellow teacher. All that changes when a group of teachers go to Vegas for Spring break, woohoo Vegas baby! I like that Finn is a determined man and knows what he wants, I have a little crush on him right now. He manages to get Meg to agree to one week of spending time with him and enjoying each other. Meg's reluctance to date another teacher is very believable given her past family and work experiences. Most of their time in Vegas is fun and explosively sexy, those intimate scenes are hot! You can see Meg holding back trying to protect her heart and you want to tell her to let go and give in to what Finn has to offer. I love the heartfelt ending.
The other supporting characters are great from Meg's BFF's, to her depressed doggie and Finn's Dad and his new girlfriend Ursula. They add to the whole realism of the book.
I cannot wait to see what comes next in this series

Invicta Womens 14373 Diamond Accented Stainless  A very nice looking stainless steel watch, the picture in the product description may give the impression that this is a larger watch than what it actually is, it is definitely not a small or delicate piece but it is not a large one either.
With black roman numerals on a round white face, it is important to note this watch does not have additional displays for date or day. My mom was quite pleased when she opened it and the first thing she noticed was the watch is very light (for those people worried about the size). The silver color looks really good and the "diamond" accents around it do not draw too much attention.
It is an Invicta, so quality is a given and in my mom's own words, looks very classy. The only adjustment that had to be made (besides the time) was to remove a couple links so it fit well and not loose.

Alias Season 2

I only recently started watching Alias. I had seen advertisements for Season 1 on DVD and it looked like a pretty good show. So I went to a website and read summaries of every episode so I would be caught up for the Season 3 premiere. After watching the first two episodes of Season 3, I realized that this show is AMAZING! So I immediately went out and bought Season 1 and I am so addicted to it! I can't stop watching these episodes! First of all, the soundtrack is amazing...the music adds so much to the show. The plots are always so suspenseful and almost always end with a cliffhanger that leaves you wanting more. I just can't believe that I hadn't discovered the show earlier, since it quickly became my favorite show ever! It's almost too tough to wait an entire week to see a new episode. Fortunately, Alias is so good that you can watch these episodes over and over again and they'll never get boring; there's always something new to find. I was so excited though to hear that the Second Season would be released soon! I know the summary of each episode, but that's nothing compared to see the action on tv! I really cannot wait to buy season 2, because it is so full of suspense, especially the season finale! (...)It will addict you so quickly it is not even funny. The acting is superb and added to the music, you get a perfect show. It's a shame that this show doesn't get more recognition, because it's the best show out there! Get your Alias Season 2 Now!
Gucci Womens YA112413 Twirl Watch  This is a timeless, chic watch for a woman of any age. It can be worn casually, or dressed up. When you flip over the face of the watch, it has the Gucci pattern on it, a really beautiful touch, so it can be worn as a bangle/bracelet, or a watch, depending on your mood. It's very beautiful. I get a lot of compliments on this watch. It's a great go-to watch, and it has NOT tarnished at all!!
As far as scratches go, they happen, it's just normal over time. But, it's not easily noticed, at all. I've had my watch for a couple of years, and it still looks fabulous. You have to take care of your watches though, change the batteries as needed, and buy a nice cleaning cloth to clean it off with to keep it shiny and looking new!

Fox Forever The Jenna Chronicles  Book 3: I came into this book a bit apprehensive. Book 1, Adoration, I thought was a 5 star book with a bolded exclamation point, but I was less enthusiastic about book 2, Fox Inheritance. My beef with book 2 was that Locke was not nearly as compelling as Jenna, and Jenna played too little a role in the book. Fox Forever continues the shift away from Jenna as Locke has to return the favor that the Network did him. His job: ingratiate himself into the good graces of 17 year old Raine and thereby getting access to information her father has. Of course, there's romance and it turns out be of the A+ variety -- perfectly paced and well plotted. The overall story is well done with the supporting characters rich and nuanced. In short, this is a well written book with a great story that sucks you in and is hard to put down. Locke, whom I bashed a little in my review of Inheritance, really comes to life in this book. My only criticism, which is a soft one, is that the ending felt a little too maudlin for me, but that's going to be a question of taste and I'm not going to ding the book for my own emotional hang ups.
Trilogy: I thought adoration was a 6 star book and Forever a solid 5 star book. But I stand by my review of Inheritance as a big step below Adoration. I thought the author's attempt to shift the focus from Jenna to Locke was doomed to failure and I didn't think it worked all that well in Inheritance. But, that's why she writes and I read. Forever was a home run. Locke really soars and this turns the trilogy into a really good one...and so I give an enthusiastic two thumbs up and say, 'that's how it's done folks!' I was concerned about this, due to other reviews, to the degree that I actually looked at the woman's version (Invicta Women's 6908 II Collection Stainless Steel Watch) which would be a tad small for most average size men. Nice that there is a his and hers version which I don't believe is the case with many if not most watches. Enough said about the watch, now on to the band: It is also very nice and also very large and will need to be adjusted unless you're HUGE. If you're at all handy, buy the band adjustment tool at the same time you order the watch for three bucks and do it yourself. It qualifies as an add on, so no extra shipping charges apply. I was kicking myself that I had had no idea these things existed when I initially placed the order and since I didn't want to wait for a tool to arrive in the mail or go to a jeweler, I contrived a pin removal tool that worked (small pin, tack hammer and scrap 2 x 4 with a 90 degree notch). The tool tip needs to be around a 1/32 of an inch or 0.032".

The pins that hold the band together are basically miniature cotter pins / split pins that are mushroomed on the open ended side of the pin. The arrows inside the band indicate the direction that the pins need to come out. If you closely look at the ends of the pins in the band you will see that one end appears as solid and the other as if it were a slotted screw. The "slotted" end is the one that needs to come out which means you have to push on the other end (the solid one). Its a little bit of a futsy operation, especially if you don't have the proper tools, but not all that bad. The clasp has an extra set of holes for the pin that holds the band on, providing approximately half of a link worth of final, fine adjustment.
All in all I'm extremely happy with my purchase and every time I go out, I look forward to wearing it (I never wear a watch at home or in the office). For some strange reason it is also a very comfortable watch to wear albeit its large size. If it appeals to you and you love Cobalt Blue - buy it and I'm sure you'll be very happy with it. Casio Womens LW201 4AV Quartz Digital  I am a bit of a watch fanatic. I also like to find bargains. I spent a little bit more than I usually do in order to buy this watch, but I must say it may be the best watch I have ever owned. I love how the time and date are on the same readout. There's no more flipping having to push a button to figure out what date it is when I'm trying to write down a date. The second thing I love most about this watch is how easy it is to set the alarm and know whether it is on or off. I feel a lot of watches out there it's a guessing game. This one has a clear readout and you don't have to do a song and dance to figure out how to turn the hourly charm off. It is located with the alarm setting and has its own read out so you know whether it's on or off.

Prestige Medical Sportmate Scrub Watch  The sword of truth is an incredable serie that is very disputed about. there are mainly two schools of thought: this is a great, original series that is worth reading many times; or, this is a very overused and cliched idea and nothing really worth reading.
I think that it is the first, and not the latter. I basiclly read only one gnerea of books and that is the sci-fi/fantasy novels and more the fantasy. I just soak up all the fantasy books I can get my hands on. That being said I know original ideas when I see them in my opion this is a orininal idea.
this is the story about a man named Richard which is funny becuase he is the only person is the book who has a normal name. anyways Richard turns out to be the seeker which is this guy who gets the sword of truth, which has magical powers, and is saposed to find answers to questions the seeker wishes to know, hence the sword of TRUTH.
throught the book he is trying to thwart the bad guy Darken rhal because rhal is tring to access this ancient magic over life itself.
the second book and the third have equally bad things that Richard Kahlen and all the other charachters have to overcome.
anyways wizards firt rule is a great begining to a great fantasy series. and I would give this series ten stars if i could the first book i read so fast and bumbed it up to my favortite book and then i read the second and third books and they were even better.
this is a great series and i would recomended it to anyone with the exception of a younger person mabye ten or eleven or younger.
I say this not because it is especially difficult to read. I am 14 and me and some of my SAME AGE FRIENDS loved it. i say that because this is a true to life book one of the reasons i loved it. when i say true to life i mean there was everyting from tortureing and sadeism to lesbian lovers to rape all descriped in more length than an average fight sence.
like i said, i enjoyed it because i thought that it was more true to life and not watered down when most books are. this is not to say don't read this book all the stuff mentioned above is not the main part of the book. one of the main themes throughout the book is a love between Richard and Khalen. and friendships aswell.

The Downs Being Dead ebook  I nearly gave up on this book in the first chapter or so, it was so bizarre - and so violent, but I am SO GLAD I kept reading. Not only did it turn out to be fun to enter this world of "temps" (people cryogenically frozen and waiting to be revivified) and to spend time with them as they discover how to "make a life" for themselves, how to "live" in the meantime! We journey with Robert and Suzette, Maggie and Joe, and others and the "living members" of their families as they meet and discover what they can and cannot do in their ghostlike condition, as they learn to create a life for themselves that is rich and fun and loving and vibrant and caring.
I thought the very end was a bit weird. Having suspended belief to enjoy and enter into the world the author creates with its own "laws of nature", the ending seemed jarring, and thrust upon the characters, and the reader. I was saddened to face "the end", as were the characters. Even so, I really enjoyed the unfolding discoveries of the boundaries of their existence and "the ups and downs of being dead".

My Dear Desperado  Korea has an amazing Cinema industry. Like the United States there's lots of fluffy boy-girl silly movies, some overly violent ones but there are real masterpieces, stories told beautifully. This is one of them.
I could have titled this review, "From Selfishness to Selflessness."
I believe the original title of this in Korea was "My Gangster Lover," which does not do any justice to the beautiful story told here.
I'm not going to go into many details -- just some of my impressions. Just know that what you're getting here is a beautifully told story.
Jeong Yu-mi and Park Jong-hoon are perfect for their roles. Dong-chol Oh (Park Jong-hoon) is a middle-aged gangster who finds little fulfillment in his life. Sae-Hin Han is a young woman of promise who, having grown up in the country, gets her first professional job in Seoul. Unfortunately the company goes bankrupt, her boyfriend leaves her for a job somewhere else and she's forced to find cheaper rent in a poorer neighborhood.
She soon finds she has moved next to an exasperatingly selfish man. When he walks out to see all her stuff outside and asks why nobody's helping her move in she tells him the movers wanted extra for that. Dong-chol expresses outrage that they wanted extra money for moving in, saying they must be a bunch of jerks (or something of that nature). Sae-hin's eyes light up with hope as she realizes her next door neighbor is outraged and now she will get some help.
It doesn't happen. As Sae-hin watches in disbelief, Dong-chol simply walks off and leaves her to the task, still muttering under his breath about how selfish these movers are.
You get the picture. She has to live next to this guy! And it gets worse before it gets better!
So what this movie is about is a guy who can feel empathy but just doesn't quite get that maybe he should be involved in the solution sometimes.
I love the way, writer/director Kim Kwang-sik weaves, in essence, 3 endings to this. The first is somewhat sad, but fulfilling. But wait, there's more. Still sad, but happy and you know that's the end. But wait! Oh, wow! Amazing!
Let me just say that Jeong Yu-mi's slow-motion smile at the end makes watching the movie to the end worth it! Get your My Dear Desperado Now!
Dead Peasants Thriller Larry Thompson  A thrilling blend of courtroom scenes, fascinating characters, great locales and intricate investigation, Larry D. Thompson's Dead Peasants has it all. Lawyer Jack Bryant has the instincts of a gambler and the fortune of a rich financier when he retires from his practice and returns to the Cowtown of his youth. Of course, Jack Bryant's on the rich side of town these days, but he values his roots and values people too. Suddenly, against all my preconceptions, I find I really like him. So does Colby but she's keeping secrets. So does Jack's semi-estranged son. And so do his new friends on the wrong side of town, including the elderly widow whose husband went fishing and never came home.
Jack Bryant fishes for clues in this legal thriller as the tension grows. The excitement of a complex investigation is matched by danger and authentic courtroom drama, filled with murder plots, revelations and surprise. The modern-day world is vividly real with failed car dealerships, struggling banks and foreclosures. Some turn to legal and illegal tricks to survive while others turn to Jack, and he's determined to do them justice. By the end of this novel I don't want the story to end and I hope there'll be more. These characters are just too good to let go of.
Impossible to put down, thrilling, exciting, intriguing, just plain good fun, this book will keep you on the edge of your seat from start to finish. Highly recommended.
