Just to clarify, I am new to the Stacey party, but I have jumped on the bandwagon with both feet in the last few weeks. And was I ever rewarded for my decision with All He Ever Dreamed.I had wondered how she was going to resolve Josh's deep seeded desire for escape from Whitford. Judging from the rest of the Kowalski books, I was pretty sure there would be no magic wand waving to make everything work out, and thankfully, I was right.

It's hard to present a character who is conflicted, and perhaps has a bit of a martyr syndrome happening, and make that character sympathetic, let alone likeable. Shannon Stacey manages to make Josh not only likable, but understandable and human, flaws and all. As with all of the Kowalski books, Ms. Stacey brings a level of honesty that is rare in Romancelandia. The books flow with little snippets showcased within the larger framework of the story, and it works so well. She doesn't detail every little thing, but sets up events that occur "behind closed doors". Not just sexy stuff, but everyday things, and it works. So. Well.

What worked for me - Everything. Josh is great, a guy who has been set up to take on the family business against his will while his siblings go off and live their lives. He is frustrated, a little resentful, torn between all that he has ever known and what he imagines is waiting for him out in the great, big world. As his siblings start to take his wish to leave it all behind seriously, a complication by way of his best friend, Katie, pops up to really shake up Josh's priorities. The struggle he goes through trying to do the right thing for everybody but himself, the crushing sense of responsibility he feels rang oh, so true. Even though I knew what he would do, my heart broke just a little for Josh, for Katie, for Rosie...yet it needed to happen.

Katie - Oh, how I loved Katie. She has been in love with Josh forever, but he didn't know. In Josh's mind, she was a friend. Until Rosie manipulates the situation a little, a late night visit to the kitchen results in Katie in skimpy clothes that leave no doubt in Josh's mind that she is a female, and the game is afoot. I love how Katie accepted Josh yet stood up for herself, not wanting to be his "dirty little secret". She didn't make demands, she didn't try to guilt Josh into a decision he would come to regret. Katie knew Josh better than he knew himself, and gave him what he needed to make him happy. Strong, strong heroine. And funny!

Hailey - Okay, now we have a pretty good idea who will be Hailey's leading man, and I cannot wait for that! Hailey is hilarious, and such a good friend. She deserves an HEA.

Rosie - Gotta love Rosie. Katie definitely got her stoicism from her mama.

Various Kowalski sibling moments - Josh got advice and/or apologies from all of the siblings. I have to say, Sean's level of honesty brought tears to my eyes even while I felt a little angry at him on Josh's behalf. Mitch was his normal funny yet stalwart self. I want to know why Liz doesn't think she can come home. Ryan was surprisingly observant.

What didn't work for me - Nothing.

Ms. Stacey hits it out of the park with All He Ever Dreamed. So emotional, the perfect push/pull of angst and humor. I just loved this book.

Bottom Line - Buy it. Cherish it. Time well spent.

Attractive and easy to read

This is a remarkable watch, beautiful, durable, stylish. Very very nice. The front is 'flame infused crystal'. Honestly, I have no idea what it is but the look of the glass is very clear and the face below it is very crisp. The face itself is with roman numerals and framed by a golden ring with small diamonds. The watch itself is all stainless steel and the clockwork is all Swiss. Now here comes the part that is a question of flavor. This is a heavy duty watch, weighing 134 g and being water resistant for up to 50 meters. So for me who likes toughness as well as style this is a great watch. But for those looking for something delicate and 'girly' it might be having maybe a little bit too much muscle. So, to sum it up, a very beautiful and from the looks feminine watch, but with a great deal of build-in toughness. I highly recommend it.

She watches him indifferently end his life under the claws of the opponent and follows the stronger victor. That is the nature of the female." Beyond the raw reality of a lion pride, it's only a matter of time before Severin's own pride is challenged beyond all expectation.

There is much to enthrall the reader in this new version that has been laboured over for the past ten years by Sardax. Aside from a distinctly modern feel to his translation as compared to the original text, his exquisitely detailed drawings of key story scenes are a welcome bonus. They could in fact stand alone as a worthy story in their own right, without caption, and be just as riveting, if not more, than any Titian masterpiece. Everyone should read this book. It's an entertaining and easy read but also has a lot of idealogical depth behind it for those who are willing to think and read at the same time. If you don't want to think about what you read, well, go watch TV and be done with it!

Saved Rancher Book Hunted Series

I bought this book for 99 cents and was not expecting any great read. I figured it was a buck so who cares if it was really good or not. Plus this is an avon book so it really could not be good, right. Boy was I off base on this one. The book grabed me from the first page and would not let go. It was unbelievable the amount of emotions I felt with this authors writing. I could not put it down. I was laughing and crying and angry all in the first few chapters. I really am impressed with this author I purchased the next two books in this series before I even finished this book.

The book is basically about a woman who is hiding from her abusive ex-husband who enjoys playing cat and mouse with her. He is simply put a total nut bag. She then meets a rancher who falls head over heals with her at first sight. Then the story begins. The rancher trying to get this abused, scarred woman to trust him, and her ex trying to find her new hiding place so he can continue the game.

I have owned my Kindle for three years now and I read about 3 books every week. When a book is really good I put it in my favorites category and I only have 25 books so far that I have read that I think are good enough for that section of my Kindle. This book made it to that group of books it was really that good. I recommend buying this one and not to pass up a chance to read this talented authors writing. WELL DONE!!!!!!!

Poor cousin Daniel who is a very large, not so graceful or gentlemanly and has the misfortune to break out in terrible hives and itching (something impossible to hide) when he hears a lie, becomes lost when cousin Rex marries and is no longer around to help him cope with and hide his shortcomings in polite society. So, he turns to drink and dark bars to hide his reactions amongst the rakes and gaming halls. Then suddenly his mother comes to town with his young sister for her intro to society, as well as another young lady. Goddaughter to his mother, best friend to his sister but someone Daniel had met before when the then 17 yr old young lady had broken all rules of polite society and he had been involved in helping for his mother's sake. Now, though she has matured into a beautiful and mature young woman, Daniel only sees her as a lightskirt, with a ruinous scandal in her past. Being manipulated, prodded and pushed by his adoring mother to clean up and become more of the gentleman and their escort and protector and forced back into society for his sister's sake, from the very beginning, he and the Goddaughter Corie, hate each other, try to avoid each other but thanks to his mother is forced to be in her presence continually. Gradually as he watches this beautiful woman's exemplary behavior and slowly begins to learn the horrors she has suffered by her own father that pushed her into the original scandal, as well as the attraction he can't avoid, Corie too begins to realize(as well as her own deep attraction, even though she hates him) that there is much more to this big lummox than she had imagined. Through lots of screaming matches, insults, a growing attraction they both try to fight, strong desire as well as growing respect, this is a romance you can cheer, cry, rage and laugh like crazy at as you get completely drawn in to the gradual changes and growth of both of these fantastic characters. Add to that, all of the great supporting characters, matchmaking, mystery with a crime to solve, love, laughter, brawls and tears. You'll experience them all! Though there were a couple of sexual interludes, they were written so well without every intimate detail and only took you so far so you could use a bit of your own imagination. Without vulgarity or explicit details. I'd give her an award for being so excellent in that area without the smut alone. For me though, it was a fascinating, non stop entertaining book I'll definitely read again!

Riveting suspense can be found throughout any Slye Temp story by Dianna Love, and romantic entanglements add to the captivation. Ms. Love is certainly an expert when it comes to combining these two elements, as her books are packed with danger and romance. If one has read LAST CHANCE TO RUN, a Slye Temp prequel, then some of the characters in this novel are familiar. Though it would make NOWHERE SAFE more understandable to know about the incidents that previously happened, the author does give enough necessary background to make current events clearer. After the tragic opening, I had no idea in what direction the story was going to proceed or who would be involved, but I quickly became totally hooked when I realized the potential jeopardy to several characters. Ms. Love has Trish facing some type of peril again and again, and her reactions are often surprising she tries to take care of herself without asking for help. She has finally reached a point in her life that makes her confident, and I cheered her on during numerous episodes where many people would have given up. The threats to her are very real plus convincing, and I often never knew how everything would eventually turn out until the end. Josh is a wonderful hero, as his inner battles with himself show his true nature, regardless of what he wants to believe. The relationship of these two is definitely not all hearts and flowers, as genuine feelings may grow between them but countless secrets keep lasting trust from developing. Still, their desire for the other is potent, and the closeness they share while Josh watches over Trish leads to intensely passionate moments they cannot control. The danger in both of their lives becomes more threatening with each passing day, and how they are affected by these unexpected incidents is realistically portrayed. There are scenes where humor is evident, and the amusement is often associated with unspoken thoughts. The next book in the Slye Temp series will still be dealing with unsolved issues, although many unanswered questions that cropped up during the story do have resolutions. NOWHERE SAFE has an abundance of dangerous escapades and unidentified enemies.

Beautiful watch

Invicta 14374 Diamond Accented Ion Plated Stainless

This is a beautiful watch. The gold finish is very shiny and pretty. The large white face makes the numbers really stand out and it is easy to glance at it and tell time. Invicta watches are large and a little heavier, but they are sturdy and nice watches. I've always thought little tiny women's watches were impossible to tell time with. This women's watch has a large face with large Roman numerals that are very easy to read. I also like the fact that it has a second hand, but no calendar.

It's also nice that the band is large enough not to be tight for someone who has a large wrist, but can be sized down for smaller wrists too. This watch is easy to set, quite, keeps perfect time, and the crystal is flat and smooth so it won't easily get scratched. Like others have said the diamonds are very small and can only be seen if you have perfect eye sight or a magnifying glass. When the face hits the light the diamonds do let off a little sparkle, so you don know they are there, but this watch isn't flashy.

This is a great watch for someone who wants a stylish watch that actually functions and is easy to read and use. This seems like a quality watch and it looks very nice.

Hypnotic read

Evidence Life Barbara Taylor Sissel

I just want to start by saying that I absolutely LOVED this book from the very beginning. I enjoyed reading every page that I turned.

I could only dream of being as strong as the main character, Abby! I admired her strength and refusal to give up! All of the characters were so different from what you normally read and I really appreciated that.

The author did a great job of writing an interesting twisted mystery. I found myself thinking of what I would do if I were in the situation throughout the whole book. I loved how the book had new twists and turns at every page turn! I certainly didn't expect that particular ending.

Barbara Taylor Sissel amazed me with her writing abilities and I won't hesitate to pick up another one of her books real soon! I definitely would recommend this book to anyone!

Fisher Price Discover Storybook Projection Soother

I bought this crib soother after my pediatrician insisted I stop nursing my nine month old back to sleep after she woke up throughout the night. She claimed that continuing this practice would only lead my daughter's body into thinking she needed to eat in the middle of the night, and she would continue to wake up throughout the night unless I stopped. Now, in the past I had tried the old "go in and comfort her, pat her back a little and she'll go back to sleep" method, but this only infuriated her since she very well knew I was capable of picking her up, and not knowing what else to do, my doctor told me a crib soother with a remote control might be a good solution. She was SO right.

The first night with the crib soother, my daughter woke up twice. The first time, I remotely turned on the soother, she calmed down a bit but started crying again. It played for it's standard 12 minutes, and she was still whining a bit by the end, so I turned it on again, and she fell back asleep. The second time she woke up, I again turned it on remotely, and she went right back to sleep. For about a week, she continued to wake up once or twice a night, but this product put her right back to sleep each time! After a week of use, my little girl stopped waking up in the middle of the night, making me one thrilled (and rested!) mama! She now absolutely loves this "toy" (we've had it for a month) and will usually turn it on herself (another great aspect) before she goes down for a nap.

My only little qualm is that the remote has been a bit finicky at times. For instance, if I don't use it for 24 hours, sometimes it seems to shut off. Obviously, there's an easy fix for it though - use it more often! I now turn on the soother using the button on the product when I put my daughter to bed at night, and then use the remote to turn it off for a split second and then back on for the full 12 minutes.

Overall, I am very satisfied with this product and it's price point. (I really didn't want to fork over that $100 for another model!) I'd recommend it to for those who need to stay out of view when they comfort their babies back to sleep and for any caregiver who wants a little bit more shut eye - may you have the same success I did!

The attraction of the biker guy has always escaped me. They have never been attractive to me nor has the lifestyle, so it is a credit to this author, her writing , plotting and unforgettable characters, that I loved this book and the previous book about Tabby's father (president of the motorcycle brotherhood) and stepmother. This book has all the usual KA goodies-hot h/h, great sex scenes, lots of deeply felt emotion, some sorrow and some danger. There are always fun and sassy women in these stories and at first glance the men sometimes seem a little misogynistic but if you look a little deeper it's only because their women let them think they're in control and only about certain issues. The male characters mostly have a reverence for that one special woman who is their perfect mate. In this story we got to see Tabby grow up and go though sadness and heartreak until she becomes the woman she is meant to be. It's also nice to get to revisit characters from previous books for an update into their lives. All told, another great KA book that I really enjoyed and can't wait for more.

It is the early 900s, and in the north of Norway, the woman Hjordis broods on the wrongs done to her. And when her hated foster-father arrives, she sees that it is time to wreck her revenge. But, her husband's foster-brother, Sigurd, has also arrived, and he is standing in her way. And so she weaves her schemes, and casts her witchcraft, and she seeks to bring all who appose her to woe. But, it might just be that Hjordis herself might just be one of her own victims.

This 1857 play is a quite an excellent work by one of Norway's foremost men of letters. Indeed, I don't think I go too far to say that Henrik Ibsen was Norway's Shakespeare. The play itself is reminiscent of Shakespeare's tragedies, and indeed of the Classical writers' tragedies. One sees the doom spreading itself across the characters of the tale, and watches fascinated as they seem unable to escape its reach.

I really like the Viking setting of the play, and the fascinating characters - Ornulf, the aging Viking chieftain; Sigurd the Strong, the superlative warrior; Dagny, Sigurd's meek and loving wife; Gunnar, who knows he is not great, but knows that he must stand for what he has; Hjordis, Gunnar's wife, who lingers over any and every wrong done to her, and lets the evil brew within her breast; and finally Egil, Gunnar's son, and everyone's pawn.

It's a great play, one that I would love to see performed some day. Anyway, read it and find out why Ibsen is considered a great playwright. It's a true work of art!

Nightwatcher is worth the read!

Nightwatcher Wendy Corsi Staub

No matter how many books Staub "pumps out" her writing is excellent in both its quality and tension-packed plot lines. There are too many authors who I formerly considered flawless like Staub but I won't even read them anymore because their quality in all areas has suffered in an exchange for the almighty dollar, luckily Staub has remained great but I was not pleased at all when I got to the very end and discovered you HAVE to read the sequel to see how it turns out. To me, that's just another way of forcing the consumer to spend money on 2 books that should have been combined into 1. Unlike other reviewers, I really liked that the Twin Tower disaster was set as a background, it made the book even more tension filled. Even though I read SEVERAL books a week, I hadn't read a fiction book with this catastrophe intertwined and I felt it made the book that much more engrossing. Good job, Wendy! I just hope you don't drag 1 book out to 2 again.

Must read for anyone involved in the justice system

Trial Fallen Angels James Kimmel

I didn't really know what to expect from this novel - from the premise it sounded like a mixture of fantasy and mystery. And even now, after finishing it, categorizing it into a genre still proves rather difficult. Kimmel explores a lot of big themes here in his fictional debut - justice, forgiveness, truth, good, evil and the interconnected nature of humanity. The book deals with religion, too, but in a vague and rather non-specific Christian way (though Judaism and Islamic faiths also play a part). This rather undefined spiritual aspect seems to be Kimmel's attempts to avoid his fantastical Shemaya from offending any readers and to appeal to as many different religions as possible.

The story itself that these issues are wrapped around is that of thirty-year-old Brek Abigail Cuttler. This young lawyer/wife/mother arrives abruptly at an abandoned train platform and her afterlife unravels from there. Slowly, Brek comes to term with all the histories and lives of others that led not only to her own life, but to her untimely death. Kimmel throws in a lot of connections (but your disbelief should already be suspended from the very premise), leading to many surprises as the complete story unfolds. A surprising amount of World War II history is included throughout the novel, too.

Kimmel's prose describes a vast and ever-shifting setting his Shemaya (there's even a visit to Tara!), along with the intimate details of the lives of many characters. The clear writing prevents confusion and allows readers to be swept along with Brek's journey. It is a tragic story, but beautiful and completely captivating. Kimmel captures Brek's point-of-view very convincingly and manages to evoke plenty of empathy for nearly all of the characters introduced. It is a strange and wonderful novel and one that completely took me by surprise. I certainly hope Kimmel continues on as a writer of fiction - I am very curious to see what he writes next!

I am a beginning runner, and I tend to run around the block in my neighborhood. I needed something to help me keep track of how many laps I had finished and this watch is just the thing. It has a chrono mode where I tap the larger middle button at the end of each lap and it will flash the lap number and minutes for that lap a few times so I can check my time. The display then shows me the total minutes elapsed and above that, the time so far for the current lap.

The band is comfortable but stiffer than what I expected. Another reviewer mentioned a smell but I have not noticed anything, even after wearing it for daily runs for a couple of months. Like all digital watches, it seems a little complicated to learn how to use, but now I find it pretty simple and easy to use for my purposes.

Another thing I appreciate is that there is a little bulge near the end of the band that helps keep it from coming out of the loop, so when I am putting the watch on and taking it off I don't have to thread it back together. I just slip my hand through the band circle and fold over the end and it sticks with Velcro. Bottom line, easy on and off. (You can easily slip the band out of the loop completely if you want to, however.)

Lily Bard cleans the homes of some local residents in her Shakespeare, Arkansas town. Part of her success as a house cleaner is the fact that she keeps to herself and doesn't interfere with the private goings on she may be privy to cleaning private residences.

When the town trollop and one of Lily's clients, Deedra, is found murdered in her car on a remote road, the town of Shakespeare is once again turned upside down. With so many men that had been in and out of Deedra's bed, the list of suspects is lengthy. And for some reason Lily can't get this murder out of her head, no matter how hard she tries.

I was bothered a little by the insensitivity Lily shows towards the death of this woman. Yes she was 'easy', to put it nicely, but she didn't deserve her death and I thought Lily could have shown a tad more compassion for the woman.

I can honestly say the ending took me by complete and total surprise. I had an idea, a hunch, towards the end, but the way the mystery played out... while my suspect was correct, the reason behind it was a total fricken shock.

I was feeling a little under the weather today so I grabbed this book, curled up on the sofa with my favorite afghan and a couple hours later, here I am. I was so completely absorbed and engrossed in this book that the day just kind of slipped by me. Charlaine Harris in a very short time has cemented herself as a favorite author in my life and an automatic buy. I have yet to be disappointed by one of her books; instead with each book I am newly delighted.

Amazing Adventures Kavalier bonus content

This is a stunning novel about the adventures of two boys who write comic books during what was known as the Golden Age of comic books in the 1930's. This book about Joe, Sammy, and Rosa and their lives spans continents, eras, and many years of love and much hardship. The details of their lives is written in such beautiful language it makes you feel you are living in this time period. I have never been so involved in what I was reading as I was in this book, all 636 pages of it. It's a long story but one you will think about long after you have finished it. The characters you will never forget. So I guess I am saying Michael Chabon is a brilliant writer, who can certainly capture the attention of his readers. He has a florid way of writing and I really enjoyed that.

I was never a great reader of comic books, but you don't have to be to enjoy this book. I could go on and on about the story, but you just have to read the book description for that. It's all there. I would highly recommend this wonderful book if you have the time to read it. You'll find yourself staying up late till you reach the last chapter. What a great movie this would make. I really enjoyed Michael Chabon's other three novels, but I think this is his best yet.

Vicky Dreiling accomplished strong emotional engagement with her debut novel, "How To Marry A Duke," the first book in The 'How To' Trilogy. Although the depth of emotional angst suffered by Tristan James Gatewick, the Duke of Shelbourne was tame compared to many other heros starring in other books, it was very realistic to see why he would eschew marriage after watching his drunken, wastrel of a father shame his mother with his philandering.

Another way Dreiling drew the reader into the story was to leave blatant hints that the bold matchmaking spinster, Tessa Mansfield, had a less than savory past that she was willing to go to great lengths to keep secret. Tessa's emotions were very realistic throughout the book. She {1} took an unwanted assignment because it would bolster her career; {2} lusted after the too-charming-to-be-real, hunky, hero; {3} played favorites with the bridal candidates; and {4} was jealous and envious of the candidates who got to "have a season."

Would highly recommend this book to regency lovers who like to read {1} interesting interaction between the hero and heroine as they fight about the way to conduct a business-like courtship, and {2} witness scads of sexual tension and self-recrimination because the duke and the matchmaker are attracted to each other.

There are many authors whose books I enjoy reading, but when it comes to fiction my all-time favorite authors are Bodie and Brock Thoene. They are able to craft characters and weave a story which captures your attention and imagination from the very first chapter. I especially appreciate how they do not resort to simple, predictable romance stories which, after reading the first chapter, you already know enough to know how the story will go. I also love how they use historical people, situations, settings and places to create a believable story. Their newest series the Jerusalem Chronicles and the first book in this series; When Jesus Wept does all this and more.

When Jesus Wept is the story of Lazarus, but it is so much more. In this book the Thoenes weave together the stories of Lazarus, Mary and Martha with Jesus, His disciples, Nicodemus, John the Baptist, the blind beggar, the crippled beggar, Jarius' daughter and so many more people we do read about in the Bible along with the recounting of some of Jesus' miracles; such as the wedding in Cana where Jesus turned water into wine, the feeding of the 5000, the time Jesus walked on the water in a story which you will not be able to put down! As Zondervan says, Lazarus - the man Jesus raised from the dead in one of the most extraordinary encounters with The Living Savior in all of Scripture. But the life of Lazarus holds interest well beyond this miraculous event. Living in Bethany, near Jerusalem, Lazarus witnessed many of the most important events of Jesus' life and ministry. I really like how they took what we do know from Biblical accounts and combined them with what we do know about the time, the Romans and the Jewish people for a story which challenges us to choose to do the right thing, to let go of past pain and to show Jesus' love to others. It also challenges us to understand there is a joy and peace awaiting for those who choose to love and follow Jesus on this Earth, and this message of hope is one we all need to hear!

When Jesus Wept is a story you will be so glad you read; and it is certain to leave you looking forward to book two in the series!
